Embark on a quest for romance with this cmh@home program featuring works by Schubert and Strauss, which illustrate their search for love, from longing for a lost lover, to inspiration from the Romantic Period. Enjoy a theatrical performance of Schubert’s “Der Hirt auf dem Felsen”, performed by soprano Lisa Oropesa, clarinetist David Shifrin, and pianist Gilbert Kalish –  followed by the luscious melodies of Richard Strauss’ Piano Quartet in C minor, featuring pianist Wu Qian, violinist Alexander Sitovetsky, violist Yura Lee, cellist and Gary Hoffman.
